Chaos!

I get jealous when I see all the beautiful, organized craft rooms. They have big bright windows and lots of sun. The shelves are neat and every is where it belongs. I dream of the day when I can actually have a room of my one to dedicate to my crafts(hear that, kids, move out soon!). Until then I work in the dining room. I'm not whining about the lack of a craft room, I'm jealous because I'm don't think I ever can achieve that level of organization or any organization. Frankly I'm a slob.

What you see up there is my best attempt at organizing my clay and tools. I can't really blame anyone but myself. If I really pushed I could probably get I decent cabinet and not have it in the corner of dining room, hanging out. While I work, I am even worse. Everything scatters and I just grabbed by the creative spirit. I work and dig for tools and make a mess.

I have seen great tips for storing and organizing clay. My clay was sort of arranged neatly in my clay box, but recently I have been doing so much, everything as a mess again. My tools are vaguely arranged in my toolbox, at least the carving tools are on the top level. I'm always searching for something.

I don't think it really hampers my work, but I would love to have a neat organized area but somehow I don't see it happening soon. I have too much going on in my head when I create to worry about neatness then. I have to much going on to clean- ok I am a slob. But to all of you who don't have a craft room or are slob, rejoice and enjoy.

Beautiful just ain't happenin' here.

When my sister and I bought a house it was going to have a dedicated craft room, all neat and organize. Wrong! The whole room is chaos and she still prefers to work in the dining room. Oh well, as long as we're happy and creating, who cares?
